And I finally saw the Anne of Green Gables Musical...
So I went to Anne tonight. Aside from part of it that I had seen about 3 years ago, this was my first time seeing the show since I was 12. I assumed going into it that I would enjoy the show, but I must admit, I found it to be shockingly entertaining(considering it has been running for 39 years I probably shouldn't have been surprised, but anyhow). Truthfully, and I'm a little scared to admit this(but I know it's ok because none of you guys would ever make fun of me), I almost want the soundtrack... but I will resist.
I have another confession. There was no dust in my eye during Matthew's death scene. Yes, it's true, I managed to produce actual tears. This was a first in a good five or six years. Seriously. I'm actually quite distraught about this. I was well on my way to having a heart of coal and am still in disbelief that it has been broken through. It didn't happen when I left my friends and family to go to another continent for six months, not even later when I came home. I'd even try to cry on occasions when I thought other people would, but couldn't even get watery eyes or a lump in my throat, nothing at all. But alas, my cold heart was finally melted... by Anne of Green Gables... Go figure.
Please do not think less of me, I'm hoping to have my old stone heart back in no time.
For now, I need to go to sleep, but stay tuned for pictures and quotes from the closing night party. It'll probably be a few days before we put them up as my school work has now piled high enough that even I can't justify doing anything else. But don't worry, it'll be worth the wait.

Don't worry about the soundtrack Ashley...you can always borrow mine!
How did I not know about this until today???? seriously, someone dropped the ball here. Now, I'm not going to name names, but it rhymes with flora. :P
Oh, and Ashely, if you want the soundtrack, somehow over the past three summers, I've managed to accumulate three free copies. they're kind of embarassing in my cd tower. It's hard to not look like you love your job too much when you combine it with the posters that were definately NOT stolen from the centre, that are on my walls here. So, if you want one, I've got you covered.
I miss you guys!!
Mel, I was tempted to ask for one of those copiew of the soundtrack, but even in my deepest, darkest moments of PEI withdrawl (uncontrollable shakes only remedied with raspberry cordial), I still do not yearn to year the old, operatic, caterwauling version of the Canadian classic Ao'GG, TM, (tm).
Now that I know this blog exists, i will attempt to visit it more often, therefore, I respectfully request more pictures of Terry be posted, as he is my favourite (sorry, Darcy).
-Catherine.
Hey Mel! Thanks for the offer, but I think I'm going to attempt to hold out as long as I can (Although Catherine does make it sound awfully appealing...) but if I ever break down, I know who to ask!
And yes, we sure do need more pictures of Terry posted, as he is indubitably everyone's favourite. (Sorry, Darcy.)
