As Ashley and I parted ways at the end of our shift this afternoon I had to admit that summer was really over. We're almost at the end of the Summer Festival run, and while discussing the upcoming schedule in drizzly almost mitten weather, we realized we won't work again until next Monday, a week from now. In the last three months, we probably haven't gone more than a day without being in the Box Office together. I'm sure she'll be fine, but how will I cope being there Friday, all by myself, without her answers to my panicked questions (oh, actually, I did have one more about winter Air Miles...) or her giggles to go along with my stories of the evening before, or her dogged determination and detective skills to solve a problem I gave up on hours ago? Really, how am I going to survive without any of you?!

Somehow, every winter, we do survive, enjoying the busy days and call in shifts that remind us of summer, as well as the gatherings and movie nights that let us socialize, without the threat of patron updating hanging over us.

So here's to another summer, and to the girl who keeps things running behind the scenes!

Thanks guys, but you're giving me too much credit here - you do realize that Darcy is my source for most of the answers to your questions and so once he's gone I will therefor no longer have the answers, right?? (your airmiles question - I just guessed and then asked him when he got back) He's actually been trying to limit me to 10 questions a day lately but that's just not going to happen.
So lets just hope I'm still giggling in six months, eh! But not giggling in an "I'm completely insane" or "I'm about to go on a murderous rampage" kind of way. Heehee.

So Laura, I've noticed that there is no title for your post. Is it because you fought the urge to name it after a certain song from Anne but the song was so well-suited that you just couldn't think of anything else and your only alternative was to leave it blank?

HA! The 10 question a day limit made me laugh! You should start asking multi-part questions to get everything in. And yes, let's hope you're giggling and haven't completely lost it by the time summer comes around again...

And actually, this post just began as a 'blast from the past' (see the picture) and somehow evolved into an homage to you-which was long overdue! Darcy got his award and a super-post, I've already thought up a song to sing if Terry leaves us, so why not recognize the extra work that you do while we still bug you with questions (even from home, you fix stuff for us over gmail- and host super parties)!!

So, no title since I really didn't know what I was doing to begin with (oh, some days in the Box Office it still feels that way....).

P.S. For winter Airmiles, should I have used the LMG patron number, or her own since she was paying extra too?

I agree completely with Lynn, in that this summer was such a success due to complete cooperation from all staff. That said, I would also like to thank Ashley for answering all my panicked questions during those crazy supervisor shifts, where anything and everything seemed to go wrong. You should really be paid for all the time you put into supervising via msn. Hahah! Keep up the good work everyone!

Can we all chip in to send Ash's parents away for a night so we can have another party? Her house has great party vibe. Ah, fire and ice!
