Power outage dims more than lights...
Guest: Can I get tickets for Paul Brandt?
Ash: Sure. Actually the power's just gone out so I guess I can't book tickets at the moment - if you like I can take your name and number and call you back once the power is back on?
Guest: Ok. Online it looks like J 17 is available?
Ash: Well the power's out here so I can't tell what's available but if it's not black online the it should be available.
Guest: Can I book that seat then?
Ash: Well the power's out so I can't book it for now, I can call you when it's back on or you could book it online now.
Guest: Well are there any other seats available near there?
Ash: ... I'm not sure, the power is out here so I can't tell what's available...

Sounds like a caliber of genius to the likes of which we have never seen...
You should have hung up. If the guest was THAT dim not to understand that the power failure meant the booking system was down, how would s/he know that the phone wasn't?
