When Jessie and I are left alone to decorate a tree... (really though, who's idea was that??)

So we had ourselves a bit of a Christmas Tree decorating extravaganza! We successfully managed to decorate two trees. The first tree we decorated was like 78 times bigger than the second. If you want to see a fine looking Christmas Tree be sure to check out the giant one in memorial hall next time your in the building.
Luckily, we had Terry helping out with that one, because, lets face it, Jessie and I just can't reach that high. But, of course, that wouldn't stop me from trying, and so also luckily, Jerry was there to reshape the top of the tree when it became slightly lopsided after I pulled it toward me and held onto it for dear life while standing on the second last step of the ladder. Oh, and of course, although he couldn't actually help us decorate, luckily Darcy was nice enough to stop by with some constructive criticism; it is thanks to him that we didn't end up with too many red bulbs in the same place.
And after the whole tree decorated, we (fine, I) had only broken 2 bulbs(there are about 200 on there, it was impressive)!! So they decided to trust Jessie and I to decorate the little tree at the Mack on our own. As you can see from the above picture, we did marvelously. I was hoping Charlie would make an appearance though, but no sign of him.

Hey Guys,

I think someone should do a little "tweaking" on the website and put more information about 4 skit's sake on the new year's event page, on the website (we surely aren't mentioned enough:P)

This is an occasion for genuinely tiny knickers!

UPDATE- So, Thursday evening it is. We'll gather around 6:50 by the ticket booth (I think they have the nerve to call those little pens the 'Box Office'...pttt!), and then into the show! Must make it through the week...

Right, so, for all the singletons out there, and, I guess anyone else who enjoys British humour in the form of a cute, if somewhat cringe-worthy 30-something diary writer...we're planning to see the early show of "Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason" on Thursday, November 25 at 7:10pm. (If that causes real time conflicts for anyone, we can probably move it to another night- once I check my diary.)

NEW YEAR'S EVE

HEY EVERYONE!

Mark your calendars!!! 4 Skit's Sake and The Chucky Danger Band will be performing @ The MACK on December 31st!!! What a great way to ring in the new year!!!!! It should be a fun filled evening complete with lots of laughs and great music! Tickets are only $12.00 and can be purchase @ The Box Office (of course!)
Hope to see some of you there!

Garden State Again

Oh, I think it was even better the second time. As they were making their way to Albert's Ark, I thought, I could watch this any rainy afternoon when I need some cheering up. Just the right amount of animal jokes, pop culture trivia, trips and sweet romance. Zach Braff wrote, directed , produced and starred in this movieā€¦makes you feel kind of lazy, doesn't it? It was very real, very "in my own backyard" with Sam's crazy quilt house, and details like fall leaves on the cover of an old pool, Andrew's motorcycle helmet, a knight somewhat shiny armour, the bonnet on a baby, and cups of tea served in the Ark. Ian Holm was a grumpy old man, and Natalie Portman, just too cute. And there was a lot of 'random' spoken, perhaps more than Kari during an afternoon at work. Such a Box Office movie- which brings us to the music- the soundtrack! This capped the charm of this movie, the mellow sorts of songs that "makes you want to sit in your living room with a blanket up over your head and listen to all day".
A movie about coming back to your hometown, and finding your home and yourself in someone else- and the most romantic scene in front of a fireplace.

Good luck exploring the infinite abyss.

Garden State - AGAIN: TONIGHT! 7PM! CITY CINEMA!

Hightlights from Friday's 2.5 hour discussion in Tim Hortons following the movie:

"Speaking of live sex show, I remember when I saw the Lion King in Toronto..."
(followed by intrigued expressions all around)

While discussing the lack of taboo off island of sex stores:
"In Las Vegas you can't even walk down a church street without being bombarded"
"Seriously? I didn't know you'd been to Las Vegas"
"Well, no... but I watch CSI..."

Regretfully, we plan much slower than Terry and Lynn walk and they were out of site by the time Tim Hortons was suggested.
Also regretfully, the rediculous looking man with the mullet left Tim Hortons before we had figured out how to casually take his picture for the blog without him noticing.

Anyhow, a reminder once more that, due to the spectacularness of this movie, we are going to see it again tonight, monday november 15th, at 7pm.

If I think of more quotes from friday I will add them, and considering the discussion seemed to focus mainly on sex, drugs, and the Garden State soundtrack, there were most likely more quotes. Oh, and Laura gets credit for both of the above.
