Happy (belated) Birthday Dave

Happy Non-Birthday Dave!

Well, I had to drop the ball sooner or later... Although I didn't actually forget your birthday Dave, just the quint-essential birthday blog post. When I realized this this morning I contemplated just making a normal birthday post and omitting the 'belated' and 'non', and then changing the date on the post to Dec 27th (Dave's actual birthday) with hope that no one would notice or if anyone did that they'd assume they'd somehow missed the post previously. But I decided three days late was probably too risky - you guys are too intelligent to fall for that. Well some of you are anyway.
So happy nothing Dave.

New Years Eve

To anyone who doesn't have facebook, Terry is having a New Years Eve party at his house, inquire for details.

Merry Christmas!

Good morning everyone, and happy wishes for today!
I hope it's a peaceful day, filled with lots of family and friends, fun and food.

As we officially enter the Christmas week, I'd also like to remind everyone of another time of year that has begun- Oscar Season! With this in mind, you are all invited to see
Babel, playing at City Cinema at 9:15pm tomorrow (Boxing Day) evening.
Let's meet about 8:45, which gives us time to wait for latecomers and swap Christmas stories before the show. Happy Christmas, and see you at the movies!

Elimination Draw

Tickets are now on sale for the Elimination Draw to be held at the Christmas party on December 21st. Tickets are $50 each and can be paid by cash, cheque, or through payroll deduction (must be paid in full by March 31, 2007 through payroll). Tickets are on sale to staff only.

We are going to have some great prizes:

The Grand Prize is a $2,500 gift certificate to The Travel Store. The great staff there will work with you to put together a wonderful vacation package - the options are endless: The Dominican Republic, Mexico, Florida, Cuba, Jamaica, a trip to New York to see a Broadway show, a ski getaway in Banff - you name it and they can make the arrangements for you. If you just can't bear the thought of leaving Prince Edward Island in the dead of winter, you can take the option of $2,000 in cash (I suppose it would pay for your oil to keep you warm if you don't go south!)

2nd Prize is $500 in cash.

We will also have some other great prizes.
