the post you've been waiting for...

UPDATE: I've put a Christmas Party sign-up sign-up sheet on the bulletin and added names of everyone who left a comment asking me to, anyone else who wants to be signed up can just sign this list or tell me or someone else working to add them to list. Make sure you are a staff fund member - if you're not we need to know. If you're not sure you can tell by checking your paystub - if there's a deduction for 'staff fund' then you are a member. If you don't, then you are not. Anyone paying $10 can just bring it to the box office and we'll make sure Sheila gets it.

Little Miss Sunshine - take 2

Ok, so it seems there were quite a few people who missed out when we went to see Little Miss Sunshine (yes, the Steve Carell movie) on Sunday night and still want to see it so we're going to try to this again - this Sunday night (Nov 19th) at 9:15pm City Cinema. Being one of the few who was able to make it the first time around I can assure you all that it is way too much to miss.

Christmas Party Project

So Terry came up with an awesome idea for this year's Christmas Party - a box office video. So videos of fake phone calls with crazy customers or real ones reenacted, that sort of thing. Looking for some further ideas, thoughts, suggestions for the video - think about it!

Your thoughts please....

Hey everyone, looking for your opinions on a potential PEI Presents show for next year. There are three Broadway shows that are being considered: Cats, Evita, & The Producers. Whichever show is chosen (we'd only have one) would play for two nights (weeknights) and tickets would have be at least $75 in Orch A and $50 in the balcony. (We will also have a new theatre map at this time with only two price sections on the main floor, orch A & B, and one in the balcony so this means that over half the seats on the main floor will be $75). Keeping in mind that this is the real deal - actual broadway cast, etc. - what do you guys think, will people pay this much??

We want lots of comments on this folks, all the feedback we can get!

The Story of the Week

You all know that we get people with bizarre questions and requests almost daily here in the box office, I mean we've been asked for just about everything - including the kitchen sink. So it's really saying something that one of today's requests is definitely one of the top yet...

So you know how we don't offer exchanges on or after the day of the show, right? Well today we exchange tickets that someone had for a show that was 17 years ago. The show in question was the Nylons - December 18th 1989. Apparently there had been a snowstorm that night and people with tickets were told that they could be used the next time the Nylons are here (Lynn - can you confirm this?). Which happens to be this December. Ok, so of course people will save their tickets for a while but after a decade or so you'd think they'd throw them out. But even if they never got around to it - can you imagine 17 years later even remembering that you have those tickets? Remembering about them and then being able FIND them? Well of course - someone did. He brought in his five tickets from 1989, each one still in perfect condition - not even a hint of a fold line on any of them and we gave him five tickets for the Nylons this December. His 17 year old tickets had been $18.50 each but we didn't make him pay the difference.
