April Show (ers)

Awful pun, I know- can you tell I'm writing papers?!
Right, so my point? Tthere are a few upcoming shows I want to see, and to make them that more exciting, you can all come along!
First is 'Bulla, Decidedly Jazz danceworks' on Tuesday, April 26th. I am rather giddy about this one, how many chances do we get to hear Cuban music on the Island? Leave a comment and we'll get tickets together.
And second, our very own ALEX and JESSICA, along with FOH's ASHLEY are in 'Seussical-the Musical' May 6th and 7th!! How about some Box Office support?!! Ashley and I planned on going Friday evening, the 6th, so who's coming along? (I just realized, this is a MAY show, so it doesn't even work with my pun. *sigh*)
Great success to everyone in the middle of exams/papers...and to those of you who aren't, I am rather envious...see you at the shows!

Do You Yahoo??

Googling our blog won't get you here, but most other search engines have found us and occasionally send visitors our way. So what have people searched for that led them here? As it turns out there's really no common theme, but here are some that caught my eye:

- Chucky Danger Band
- City Cinema
- In Good Company weekend box office sales
- "the Anne of Green Gables Musical"

And slightly stranger:

- "starbucks in the forbidden city"
- happy birthday letter to boss
- office babes
- Ashley Olsen

I just thought I'd share this with you. It made me laugh anyhow.

The Chieftains are Coming!

Hey Guys!
Many of you have heard by now that The Chieftains (as in THE most famous Irish band in the world!) will be performing on the Mainstage on Sunday, July 17th. The ticket prices are still undecided and The Man is curious about what you think. So take a minute to vote in the new poll! Check here for more info.

So George Jones is the new Charley Pride?

Almost every other call today was for George Jones at the Civic Centre...and every fourth one was for Charley Pride. I'm curious, but if people listened long enough to hear that George Jones was COMING to Charlottetown, don't you think they might have heard the venue too??

The best had to be a second call from a rather confused Islander...

She: I know I called you already for George Jones and you gave me the Civic Centre number, but I should have though, while I had you on the phone- how much are tickets to Charlie Pride?
Me: Well, actually, he's at the Civic Centre too.
She: (Laughing) Oh, I'm SO sorry.

Other highlights included being asked for tickets to other shows we aren't selling for- Buddy Whatshisname, and two requests for the McGill Jazz concert.
But I was almost willing to forgive them all after being asked if we sell tickets to...drum roll... the Avril Lavigne Concert in Montreal.
Yeesh. (And these are the people who are driving in the streets of Charlottetown? I'm afraid).
